MIAMI, Sept. 3 — Another week, another team, another country.
Maurice Edu’s MLS season with Toronto FC was interrupted by a trip to China with the U.S. Olympic men’s team. He returned home for a few days, only to learn he needed to be in Scotland to finalize a deal with a new club, Glasgow Rangers. But before he could begin his European career, he was off to Guatemala with the U.S. men’s national team for a World Cup qualifier. Then, after being serenaded by Rangers supporters before a game against their fiercest rivals, he was on his way here to prepare for Saturday’s historic trip to Cuba.

Maurice Edu arrived with US teammate DeMarcus Beasley in Miami last night to join the Men’s National Team as they prepare to face Cuba this Saturday. Mo took part in training today. Catch highlights below:

Mo is set to make his European debut this Sunday when the Rangers face their SPL rival Celtic in the season’s first Old Firm match-up. Provided Mo is settled in and had enough time to train with the club, he could be summoned to see some action in the game.
“The Old Firm derby is something that I would love to experience right away. I do not know how my involvement is going to play out but I really look forward to playing in that game if it is possible,” Maurice Edu said.
