US Falls, Mo returning to Rangers

Mo Edu played the full 90 minutes in Team USA’s World Cup qualifying match last night in Trinidad in Tobago, however the US squad, missing a number of its veteran players, fell to T&T 2-1. Having already won their group in the semifinal stages of World Cup Qualifying, Team USA sent a number of veterans back to their club teams and played a number of the country’s up and coming stars, many of whom were teammates of Mo’s on the Olympic team. The US squad fought hard, but fell behind in the 61st minute as Russel Latapy found some empty space and hammered a shot that found the post before bouncing in off the back of US goalie Brad Guzan as he dove to his right. The US managed to even the score in the 75th when Charlie Davies tapped home a Jozy Altidore cross, but a penalty kick converted by T&T just 4 minutes later rounded out the scoring and gave the Soca Warriors the 2-1 victory.
Game Recap…

Mo is now returning to the Glasgow Rangers and should be ready to play when the Rangers visit Hamilton at New Douglas Parkon the 25th of October.
