Mo's Q and A

Q) If or when the opportunity to play in Europe arises, would you take it? And, which European club sides do you admire?

A) I definitely have aspirations to play in Europe but I want to go when its the right situation for me. When the opportunity arises, I’ll consider the offer and discuss it with those close to me and decide if that team is the right fit for me at the time and make a decision from there. I’ve always been a fan of Manchester United and Barcelona but there are many great teams out there that I love to watch. Im just a fan of good football.

Q) Who were you going for in the Euro final?

A) In the Euro Cup I picked Spain to win it a long time ago. Spain has always had a good side but for whatever reason underachieved and I felt the team they had this year would pull them out of that spell. Also, getting a chance to play against them with the US team right before the Euros started confirmed my bid for them to win the tournament.

Q) Do you a soccer specific diet that you are on? Do you have a specific weight you have to maintain?

A) I’m not on any crazy intense diet but I recognize the importance of eating right so I make sure my diet is balanced and eat proper things. I don’t have any specific weight I have to maintain, but every athlete knows their individual bodies and can tell when they feel most fit and when they don’t.

Q) Now that you have played against the likes of Steven Gerrard, Xavi, Fabregas, Joe Cole, and many other world class players, who would you say is the most talented player you’ve ever played against?

A) After watching and playing against Steven Gerrard play, I was convinced he was the greatest player. The next game we played against Spain, and Xavi took the crown. He’s a special player with unreal vision, poise, skill, and confidence. He completely set the tone and controlled the game for Spain and stood out among a team of superstars. I’d always thought Xavi was a good player, but playing against him raised his status in my books.
