Mo on the move
Mo is currently en route to Guatemala for the US’s World Cup Qualifying match, but upon his return, Mo will be calling a new place home. Mo has reached an agreement in principle to join the Glasgow Rangers of the Scottish Premier league after a $5 million transfer fee was worked out with the MLS. The deal cannot be finalized until Mo is able to obtain a work permit, a process which is now in progress. Mo was on hand to watch the Ranger’s 2-0 win against Hearts on Saturday at Ibrox stadium, the club’s home, before rejoining his American teammates in Miami where they practiced before departing for Guatemala. In Glasgow, Mo will join fellow American and US National Team member DeMarcus Beasley who joined the team in 2007. Mo will also follow in the footsteps of former Ranger and US National Team captain Claudio Reyna as a defensive midfielder for the club. Well what can I say, was at the hearts game and big Maurice got a hero’s welcome! All I can say about Rangers is they are a great club and will help him adapt to Scottish culture and way of life. He’s got Damarcus Beasley there so having a fellow countryman already at the club will be good for him. Think he will make his debut against Celtic, he’s in for a treat, he will never have experienced an atmosphere like it! Good luck Maurice and NO SURRENDER
